BEFORE YOUR TEAM STARTS
A clear setup and a clear scope.
Prepare your workflow
Agree item units, warehouse locations and opening balances.
Enable lot or serial handling only where it fits the item workflow.
Configure costing and posting settings with the responsible operations and finance teams.
Understand the current scope
Stock valuation and accounting reconciliation are separate reviews. A stock report alone does not establish that every movement has a matching general-ledger posting.
Current workflow Implemented capabilities, subject to module and record access.
Setup required Organisation configuration or a connected service is needed.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Before you get started
Can we trace a stock movement?
The stock ledger, movement history and relevant source records provide the context for supported movements. Lot-trace reports add lot-level detail where the item workflow uses lots.
Can we count a warehouse without changing item setup?
Count sessions and cycle-count workflows compare physical quantities with system quantities. Posting or finalisation follows the relevant permissions and validation.
Are lots and serial numbers required for every item?
Use the handling supported by your item setup. Confirm the lot, expiry and serial requirements during configuration.
